ShriLiving (accessible at shriliving.in) is a curated paying guest (PG) accommodation and flat rental listing platform operated by Aditya, an individual sole proprietor based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India (hereinafter referred to as "ShriLiving", "we", "us", or "our").
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal data when you access or use our website, services, or communicate with us through any channel including WhatsApp, phone, email, or social media. This policy is drafted in alignment with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the DPDP Rules, 2025 as notified by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
By using our website or services, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our services.

ShriLiving is an early-stage platform. Our registered address and contact details will be updated on this page as our business registration is formalised. Under the DPDP Act, 2023, ShriLiving acts as a "Data Fiduciary" — meaning we determine the purpose and means of processing your personal data.
3. Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how you interact with our platform, we may collect some or all of the following categories of personal data:
3.1 Data Provided Directly by You
Identity Information — full name, phone number, and email address for communication and identification.
Payment References — UPI transaction ID or payment screenshot to confirm receipt of service fees where applicable. We do not collect, store, or have access to your UPI PIN, bank account numbers, net banking credentials, or payment card details.

Photographs — property photos or images you may share with us during your accommodation search for reference purposes.
Important: ShriLiving does not collect, store, or process identity documents such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Passport. Any identity verification required for accommodation is conducted directly between you and the Property Partner (PG owner/landlord). ShriLiving is not involved in and does not facilitate the collection or transfer of identity documents.
3.2 Data Collected Automatically
Website Usage Data — pages visited, time spent, click patterns, and referral sources.
Device Information — IP address, browser type, operating system, and device type.
Cookies and Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website usage. GA4 collects anonymised usage data including session information and approximate geographic location. For details, refer to Google's Privacy Policy.
3.3 Third-Party Information
We may gather publicly available information about PG accommodations from third-party platforms and directories for listing purposes. We do not collect personal data about you from third parties without your knowledge.
4. Purpose of Data Collection
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
Accommodation Matching — to match you with suitable PG or flat rental options.
Coordination with Property Partners — to share your basic contact details (name, phone number) with relevant Property Partners to facilitate your accommodation enquiry, property visits, and move-in coordination.
Communication — to contact you regarding your enquiry, share options, coordinate visits, and provide support.
Payment Confirmation — to verify receipt of applicable service fees.
Platform Improvement — to analyse usage patterns and improve our services.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance — to comply with applicable laws, including the DPDP Act, 2023.
Dispute Resolution — to investigate complaints and resolve disputes.
5. Sharing of Personal Data
5.1 Property Partners
When you express interest in an accommodation, we may share your name and phone number with the relevant PG owner or property partner to facilitate your enquiry, coordinate property visits, and enable direct communication between you and the Property Partner. Once your contact details are shared with a Property Partner, their handling of your data is governed by their own practices and policies — ShriLiving does not control or assume responsibility for how Property Partners use, store, or protect your data after transfer. Any identity verification or document collection required by a Property Partner is conducted directly between you and the Property Partner without ShriLiving's involvement.
5.2 Service Providers
We may use third-party tools and service providers for website hosting, analytics, communication, and other operational needs. These providers may process your data on our behalf for the limited purpose of delivering their services.
5.3 Legal Authorities
We may disclose your personal data if required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental authority, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
5.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, your personal data may be transferred to the successor entity with reasonable notice.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for their independent marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy:
Enquiry Data — data related to your accommodation search (name, phone number, email, preferences) is retained for a reasonable period after your last interaction with us, after which it may be deleted or anonymised.
Transaction Records — data related to completed transactions (including payment records) is retained as required for accounting, tax, and legal compliance purposes under applicable Indian law.
Analytics Data — anonymised website analytics data may be retained for trend analysis and service improvement.
We make reasonable efforts to delete or anonymise personal data that is no longer required. However, given the early stage of our operations, our data management processes are evolving and may not yet be fully automated.
7. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023
As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the following rights:
Right to Access — you may request a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is being processed.
Right to Correction and Erasure — you may request correction of inaccurate data or erasure of data no longer needed for its original purpose. Upon successful verification of your identity, we will process erasure requests in accordance with applicable timelines under the DPDP Act.

10. Data Security
We implement reasonable and commercially appropriate security measures to protect your personal data, including SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit and access controls for stored data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. We are continuously working to improve our security practices as our platform grows.
11. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Act, 2023. We will also make reasonable efforts to inform affected individuals as soon as practicable, providing details of the nature of the breach and any recommended protective steps.
12. Children's Data
Our services are designed for individuals capable of entering into accommodation arrangements. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 18 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
13. Cross-Border Data Transfers
